| I recently started developing applications on the Google Android opeating system primarily on the T-Mobile G1 phone (HTC Dream phone). One problem is the audio subsystem is a little quirky. It's great if you are playing songs, or video but if you are writing a game that plays short sounds quickly it poses problems. After much work I found a pretty cool solution to one of the annoying problems. | HTC Dream Phone |

I was recently in Oklahoma City and through circumstances not of my doing ended up having lunch at "Toby Keith's". Yes this is the restaurant owned by the country singer by the same name. While I was musing about the rah-rah on the shirtsleeve patriotism on display -- which I btw can totally respect as long as it's not being misused as in promoting sales of products, soliciting donations for somebodies favorite charity, etc -- it dawned on me how different this country is today than it was on September 10, 2001 in terms of freedoms we have in our everyday lives. |

Whlie rummaging around on my harddrive through some old archives today I stumbled across a product that I developed and sold some time ago. This brought back a lot of nostalgia for the 'good old days'. The product was 'MADM95' which was part of a whole game-server/client package that I used to sell. The software worked with the WorldGroup BBS and allowed people to call in, meet up in a chat-lobby and play any one of over 50 different online games. |
